I'm glad to find Anthony Hopkins, who is my favorite actor in this film, Transformers: The Last Knight (2017). Unfortunately, I also find Victoria Bay and Monster Mansion as shooting locations I'm quite familiar with! However, this movie franchise, Transformers, was originally created from the King Kong series that features mechanic King Kong versus wild King Kong. It was a work of cinematic renovation, not innovation!

You should not ignore the origin of this renewed franchise! At least the Chinese title audiences misinterpret it in this way. It was from another comic franchise... The story (main action line) depicts UK knights and transformers save the earth from evil transformers who seek to revive the evil death star. I am sorry to say that this plot is not acceptable to me. It is a historical racism that is hidden in this heroic story. Instead, The Seven Samurai (1954) is not OK for saving the earth from evil transformers?

I think it is quite sad that it also heavily depends on CG, computer animation and its relative VFX. CG is not film editing, but so many people misunderstand and confuse CG with editing. It is a kind of animation department, not traditional montage department work. Filmmaking should be more accessible for anyone in society. It is a device for the working class movement, not only for prestigious guilds. D.I.Y. filmmaking is more recommended practicing in your real life and social movements. Anyway, after I saw this blockbuster, what I remember is Anthony Hopkins's brilliant acting! That's all. There is nothing more...
